St. Andrew’s Lin Commits to Manhattan

St. Andrew’s post-graduate guard Benson Lin committed to Manhattan on Friday according to Saints’ head coach Michael Hart. He joins Woodstock Academy guard Romar Reid to become the second New England prep product to commit to the Jaspers this fall. Lin is a native of Taiwan who has been dubbed “the next Jeremy Lin” and developed an intense following in his home country. Putnam’s Buggs Signs with UMass

Putnam Science Academy post-graduate guard John Buggs III signed a National Letter of Intent with UMass on Tuesday after returning home to Louisiana for Thanksgiving break.  Buggs previously starred at at Summerfield High School where he averaged over 23 points per game and won three different state championships in Louisiana.  The 6-foot-2 combo-guard made his New England debut last June at the Elite 75 College Showcase when he was already generating division I interest.
